To all who attended and to all who missed out:-
AIDA organised one of the most spectacular competitions that we have ever seen in Israel - IDU WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008
with thirteen participating countries.
I wish to thank all those who participated from Israel and abroad and I wish to give a special thanks to all those people
who were involved in organising this event on our behalf, in particular Igor and Tatyana Galiaga and their team in Maalot
and especially the Maalot municipality who funded the entire event. I'd also like to give a special thanks to IDSA President
Mr. Vloch and to IDU President Mr. Mashkov for their willingness to support an event this size in Israel. We hope to
do many more in the future.
Top adjudicators from around the world arrived with their couples many for the first time in Israel. Couples came
from twelve different countries - Italy, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Armenia, Georgia,
Azerbaijan and from all over Israel - to compete in an exciting two day event held in Maalot.
The organiser Igor Galiaga together with a wonderful team from Maalot put on an outstanding production. All our
foreign participants dancers and adjudicators were wined and dined and given hotel accomodation, plus cups, cash prizes and
presents. The event was extremely lavish with dancing at a very high international level.
Thank you also to our president Mr Ilan Vaiman who has helped build international relations and encouraged many to attend
this event.
To all our dancers, parents, teachers, fans and supporters thank you for continuing to raise the level of dance in Israel.
We are extremely proud of all of you.
