Annabelle and Illia were asked to star in the evening performance at the Carmiel Dance Festival 2008

DUTCH OPEN 2006 and 2007.  Beyond our wildest hopes - last year top 48 in youth ballroom and this year into the third round in both Youth and Amateur Latin.  Outstanding!

An evening beyond our wildest hopes.  At the World Cup in Tel Aviv Annabelle and Illia not only got into the finals in 16-18 but also in Open Amateur and came fourth and fifth respectively.

 AIDA CUP 2008
This was our first major national competition of the new year held in Ashdod and organised by Galina Shustin.  The top three couples in Amateur Ballroom received beautiful cups and cash prizes donated by Omanut LeAm.

EXCITEMENT, ANTICIPATION, TREPIDATION, EXHILARATION...

The build up to an important event is extreme.  Following weeks of hard work tuning the couple to the best of their ability at that point in their development, pushing them to their limits day after day in both Latin and Ballroom, building up their stamina.  Preparing the costumes, shoes, make up, accessories.  Organising the transportation and accomodation. Finally arriving at the destination - the Dutch Open in Assen in Holland, the World Ten Dance Championships in Kiev in Ukraine, the famous German Open Championships in Mannheim in Germany, and the biggest of all in Blackpool in England - seeing all the dancers including professionals warming up, preparing, focusing, concentrating, practicing.  Being a part of this international buzzing world of dance and dancers.  It is both frightening and intoxicating.

We have just returned from the famous Italian Open in Cervia where we were so warmly welcomed.  It was a fabulous competition and we would like to say thank you to all those who made it possible.

THE DRESS WAS NOT YET FINISHED - A TRY OUT AT A NATIONAL COMPETITION

Our competitions stretch from Maalot in the north to Arad in the south.  We average two national competitions a month each time in a different city and the standard of our competitions is always increasing.  We have different levels for all age groups including seniors.

THE DUTCH OPEN 2006  - YOUTH BALLROOM - Israel sent a delegation of ten couples.  Annabelle and Illia got into the top 48 in Youth Ballroom.  What a moment!

This photograph was taken at the famous GOC in Mannheim where we were sitting in the second row.  The audience roared with laughter and appreciation as Formica crawled through the legs of his rival in order to get back to his partner having found himself in a very awkward situation after doing the splits.  It was probably the best moment of the whole competition.
